Starbucks
Creative Guides
The Starbucks Creative Studio is responsible for overseeing creative direction across the brand, interacting with work that is done both in-house and in collaboration with external agencies/global markets. Because of this, clear guidelines need to be specified in order to ensure a cohesive expression across all customer touchpoints.
Guides are created to influence a variety of projects, including (but not limited to) core guides that are routinely updated as the brand evolves, theory/principles-based guides that describe how to create on-brand work through the lens of the Creative Expression, tactical guides for design production, and comprehensive pre- and post-production guides when creating commercials with film directors and agencies.

The size of these documents vary, from in-depth instructions spanning 50+ pages to quick 10-page technical write-ups.
These guides connect under the umbrella of the Starbucks Global Brand Book, working together to create cohesive and thorough instructions for how to execute creative work under the Starbucks brand successfully.
Due to the sensitive nature of the information contained in these guides, I am unable to share their contents at this time. However, if you’d like to learn more about the process behind their creation, feel free to reach out to me!
